What To Wear For Your Photo Session {Spring/Summer}
Posted on February 28, 2012
Its a beautiful Spring day here in Seattle and I thought it was a perfect time to share some Spring/Summer What To Wear guides for all our upcoming sessions! Things to remember when styling your photo session are to choose a main color/theme and then work to coordinate everyone’s clothes using that. You do not want to “match” but you do want to coordinate.
Im sure many of you are on pinterest if not {its ah-mazing!} you can still view our What To Wear Guides on our Pin Board. The photos on this pin board should give you some ideas on how to easily style your session whether you want to buy all new outfits or create outfits from clothing you already own!

Bellevue Botanical Gardens {Sammamish Childrens Photographer}
Posted on April 22, 2011
My friend Joanna and I had a meetup with some local photographer friends of hers at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. The spring flowers were in full bloom which always means springtime is near – even with the lovely weather we’ve been having here in Seattle
I’ve done alot of macro work here in the past so this time I chose to shoot everything with my 85mm shot wide open
This was just the most interesting looking flower. It looked to me like it had wilted tulips for the petals. Very Interesting. I need to find out what this little beauty is called!
I love Tulips – but Hyacinths smell like heaven!
For my mom
Steps are her favorite thing. Anywhere we go she is up and down the steps hundreds of times. She loved it here

Decorating with Portraits 1 {Sammamish Portrait Photographer}
Posted on March 10, 2011
Ive been wanting to do this series for awhile but with both grandparents dying so close together I honestly just havent had it in me. However – I want to get the ball rolling this month! I chose to post these on Thursdays (may be Fridays some weeks) because that gives you the weekend to do any decorating/re-decorating that you may want to do while the inspiration is still fresh
First you need to choose your images. You want images from the same session, trip, season etc. You want a cohesive theme for your portrait wall. Choose images that are well lit and have a nice composition if you are using images from anything other than a professional session. We include a design element to your session to help you plan and design your portrait wall using images from your session. Below are a couple examples (and be sure to come back next week to see more!)
